Aww, Grand dread father Nurgle-wurgle! ;D There's a great, grungy sense to this, which really helps form the atmosphere of this monstrosity of a creature. It also allows you to put in a lot of subtle depth, like those smaller beings, which only became evident when looking at it longer than say 10 seconds, hah. Overall a great piece, since the flowing lack of clearly defined transitions in the linework allows it to twist into many darkened forms, creating a composite of abysmal forms.
This is sick! But in a good way... I have no idea why he's called Nurgle, but I find it oddly appropriate. He's so...blob. And quite creepy actually. I like how you can look at him and notice more the longer you look - makes my imagination going, it's like he's consuming everything around him.

Everyone loves Nurgle! I just can't help but love the way he offers immortality at the price of physical beauty. As your body rots away he frees you from pain and fear allowing you to carry on fighting for him despite the most grevious wounds.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
